-Interferon and ribavirin (not liked or respond well)

- bradycardia when combined with amiodarone
Is there a vaccine against Hepatitis C?
No, but there are vaccines against Hep A and Hep B

- Interferon
- Weekly injection for 48 weeks
- Flu-like symptoms

- PO
- Better tolerated than Interferon
- Entecavir, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, tenofovir alafenamide

- Immune globulin
- Boxed warning: thrombosis risk

- diarrhea (only in 2% of people)

-Know the common AEs
-Know that antivirals can affect exercise tolerance
-Monitor pt exercise tolerance with vital signs
-Get pt feedback with Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion
and overall how s/he is feeling
-Avoid over-exerting the pt
-Use standard precautions during pt interactions
