Four (4) types of CPs and their capabilities
Main CP: Where the commander and his staff plan and direct operations and control forces
Rear CP: Serves as admin/logistic support base, rear area of operations (area mgmt, movements, infrastructure development, host nation support, security comm, intel and sustainment.)
Tactical CP: Small highly flexible CP to remain in close proximety to the battle. Gain first hand SA and more directly influence tactical operations.
Mobile CP: Provides means for commanders at all levels to keep pace with rapidly maneuvering elements
