  2. Decrease glutamate (NMDA Receptor Antagonists blocks glutamate binding)

Generic name: donepezil
Cholinesterase inhibitor (increases ACh)
Taken once daily
Tablets: 5mg, 10mg
Auxiliary label: swallow whole; do not crush or chew, should be taken with water
Requires LU for ODB coverage
RDT (Rapid Dissolve Tablets): 5mg, 10mg
Patients should allow RDT to dissolve on tongue before swallowing with water
Not covered by ODB
