Motherboard - Memory sockets
can have 2 or 4 sockets
Motherboard - Mainboard Power
Cable that connects to the power supply to provide power
Motherboard - CPU Power
Cable that connects to the power supply to provide power to the CPU
Motherboard - Case Fan Power
4 -pin connectors
Motherboard - USB Header Port
USB jumper, allows to control to the front or back panel of the case
Motherboard - SATA Ports
Allows to connect storage devices
Motherboard - Power LED Connector
Power light for PC when it’s turned on
Motherboard - Audio Header Port
Connects audio device (10 pin rectangle that has 9 pins)
Motherboard - PC!e x1
Allows to install expansion cards to provide extra functiosn to the motherboard
Motherboard - PC!e x16
Mostly used to install GPU. Silver colored one provides more power than the black colored one.
Motherboard - M.2 Connector
Allows for M.2 storage devices
Motherboard - CMOS Battery
BIOS battery
