After John baptized Him, the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert that’s between Jerusalem and Jericho. He stayed there and fasted for forty days and forty nights while Satan tested Him. He didn’t eat anything and at the end of this time, He was hungry.

It has been handed over to me and I can give it to anyone I want to. It will all be Yours. All You have to do is bow down and worship me.” Then Jesus answered for the last time, “Get away from me, Satan! The scripture say, ‘Worship the Lord your God and no one else’.” When Satan finished testing Him that time, he left Jesus alone for a while and angels came and served Him.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
