CSF - IN lymphocytes and protein
CT - medial temp and inferior frontal lobe changes, normal in 1/3
- MRI preferred
EEG - lateralised periodic discharges at 2 Hz
encephalitis

aciclovir
phonophobia
fear of noise
additional mx in menignitis
IV dex - prevent neuro changes
