  1. Independent review by someone in the same/ similar field
  2. They check work for originality, significance and validity
  3. They assess methods used
  4. They can suggest changes to be made
  5. However, the psychologist who’s report it is decides whether or not to make the changes before putting to the panel and assessed for merit
