A subzone of Greater Perth. Unlike the Swan District and Perth Hills which are dominated by white grapes, Peel GI is on the Darling Plateau and is 60% red grapes (cab and shiraz). The elevation is 5-290 meters. The soils are granite, limestone and sands.
