Q

What are the characteristics of mu receptors?

A
  • endogenous ligand = enkephalin
  • CNS effects = analgesia, euphoria, sedation, respiratory depression, cough reflex inhibition.
  • Peripheral effects = inhibition of gut motility, vasodilation
