What is the ideal diet for an insulinoma?
Prior to surgery or if surgery is not an option:
* High protein, complex carbs
* First choice is a Diabetic diet (a complication can be DM)
* Second choice is Gastrointestinal
* After surgery, a common complication is pancreatitis, so a low fat diet needed
What is the ideal diet for canine hypothyroidism?
Weight gain is usually due to the disease and
management with meds should also address the
obesity
* If after drug therapy, the dog is still overweight it
may have been obese before the Hypothyroidism
* In this case, a weight loss diet such as Satiety is
recommended
