What is the taste of acids?
They taste sour, and it is dangerous to test unknown liquids to determine if they are acidic

Red

pH of less than 7, and are corrosive

Found in stomach acid, helps in digestion of food

Used to etch metal
What is the use of ethanoic/acetic acid?
Used in vinegar

In citrus fruits as fruit juice
Where are carbonic and phosphoric acids found?
In fizzy drinks
What are bases and what can they form?
Often solids, but can form aqueous solutions called alkalis
Where are alkalis commonly present in?
Kitchen cleaners, floor cleaners and detergent
