  • Mental Health: Weight bias in HC settings can contribute to higher rates of anxiety & depression among patients w/ obesity, further complicating their health outcomes
  • Misconceptions: Many healthcare providers may erroneously believe that patients with obesity are less compliant with treatment, despite evidence suggesting that weight bias itself can lead to poorer health outcomes
