bilatetral aid characteristics
long-term assistance
focsued on development
provision of essential infrastructure such as road + electricity
focus on educagtion such as building schools + training teacers
building civil society, providing governance and support
multilateral aid purpose:
(AID provided through an international organisation)
large-scale programs focused on global health and wellbeing + sustainable development
can reach and impact the lives of many people
provided to those most in need
multilateral aid characteristics:
provided by an international organisation such as the UN or world bank
funded by donations from a number of countries
medical programs such as large-scale vaccination to reduce the BOD from polio
provision of food where most needed by WFP to prevent malnutrition
