it works, the STJ is placed in neutral and the MTJ is maximally pronated around both axis (LMTJ and OMTJ)
how does the forefoot valgus post work?
the remaining met heads 2-5 are not everted on the rearfoot, cutout made for the plantarflexed 1st ray
easy to do
how is surgery an option?
what is addressed?
a last resort
surgery should address the plantar flexed 1st ray
due to either osseous or peroneus longus spasm plantarflexing the 1st ray
is this rigid or nonrigid
rigid
due more to soft tissue contracture which causes 1st ray to appear plantar flexed on arthrometric exam
is this rigid or nonrigid
