flexed 90 degrees, ankle flexed 90 degree
-apply plaster to patients foot
-have patient rest foot on fusion, holding STJ in neutral
-when plaster is dry enough, remove the cast

tilt cast until heel is vertical and allow cast to rest on flat surface

plantar surface of the cast at the area of the MTJ should be
