What is the definition of leadership?
Leadership is the ability to influence people to set aside their personal concerns and support a larger agent.
What is the Trait Theory of Leadership?
It proposes that certain traits (physical, mental, personality) predispose individuals to leadership roles.
What is leadership emergence?
It is the process through which an individual acquires a leadership role and is recognized as a leader by others based on factors like age, experience, and context.

Intelligence, dominance, sociability, self-monitoring, high energy or drive, self-confidence, and tolerance for ambiguity.
What is the Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) Theory?
A leadership theory that focuses on the quality of the relationship between a leader and an employee. High LMX = positive outcomes; Low LMX = negative outcomes.
Compare transactional vs. transformational leadership.
Transactional: Focuses on day-to-day tasks, uses contingent reward and management by exception.
Transformational: Creates a long-term vision, motivates and inspires employees, and includes intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration, inspirational motivation, and charisma.

Leadership that is guided by core values, beliefs, and self-awareness, with traits such as confidence, optimism, hope, and resilience.
