Process

A
  1. Excise and fix the tissue in fixative
  2. Remove water and replace with wa solvent (Ethanol)
  3. Embed the oriented specimen in molten wax (Parafin)
  4. Cut slices of the specimen after it is solid with a microtime and let them collect in a water bath
  5. Put slice onto slide.
  6. When its dry; remove the wax and rehydrate.
  7. When regydrated; stain(ex: hematoxylin eosin)
  8. Remove surplus stain and water, aply mounting medium and cover slip.
  9. Microscopic examination once mounting medium has set.
