And by the populated house.

وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ ‎﴿٥﴾‏

A

And by the roof raised high.

وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ ‎﴿٦﴾

And by the sea flared upon (with fire).

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ ‎﴿٧﴾‏

A

The punishment of your Lord is sure to fall.

مَّا لَهُ مِن دَافِعٍ ‎﴿٨﴾

A

There is nothing to push it back (the punishment).

يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاءُ مَوْرًا ‎﴿٩﴾‏

A

The Day when the sky will tremble, a horrible trembling.

وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا ‎﴿١٠﴾

A

And the mountains will move about, a terrible movement.

فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ‎﴿١١﴾

A

So woe to those who reject (the true faith).

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ ‎﴿١٢﴾

A

Who are indulged in vain talk, playing (with truth).

يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ‎﴿١٣﴾‏

A

The Day they will be pushed to the fire of Jahannum forcefully.

هَٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ‎﴿١٤﴾‏

A

(And it will be said to them): ‘This is the fire. you used to deny’.

أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ‎﴿١٥﴾

A

Is it then magic or do you not see?

اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ‎﴿١٦﴾

A

Enter it now, whether you endure it patiently or impatiently. It is all the same for you. Surely you are merely rewarded for what you used to do.

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ ‎﴿١٧﴾‏

A

Of course the God-fearing will be in gardens of bliss.

فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ ‎﴿١٨﴾‏

A

Enjoying what their Lord will have given to them and their Lord will have saved them from the punishment of Hell.

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ‎﴿١٩﴾

A

(It will be said to them): ‘Eat and drink pleasently because of what you used to do’.

مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ ‎﴿٢٠﴾‏

A
Relaxing on lined up couches and We will marry them with big-eyed hoori's.
مُتَّكِئِينَ : Relaxing 
سُرُرٍ : Couches
مَّصْفُوفَةٍ : Lined up
زَوَّجْنَاهُم  : We will marry them
بِحُورٍ عِينٍ : With fair eyed Hoori's

Q

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ ‎﴿٢١﴾

A

And those who believed and their children followed them in belief, we will join them and will not curtail (the reward of) any of their deeds at all. Every person will be pledged for what he earned.

Q

وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُم بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ‎﴿٢٢﴾‏

A

And We will go on giving them whatever they desire of fruits and meat.

Q

يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ ‎﴿٢٣﴾‏

A

They will snatch from one another (in a friendly manner) a glass (of wine) carrying neither absurd talk nor something leading to sin.

Q

۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ ‎﴿٢٤﴾

A

And their own serving boys will rotate around them (who will be as neat and clean) as if they were hidden pearls.

Q

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ‎﴿٢٥﴾

A

And they will advance to one another asking about eachother’s (welfare)

Q

قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ ‎﴿٢٦﴾

A

They will say: ‘Indeed we were afraid (of Allah (s.w.t)’s punishment) when we were amidst our family’.

Q

فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ ‎﴿٢٧﴾‏

A

But Allah (s.w.t) did favour to us and saved us from the torment of fires, scorching breath.

Q

إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ ‎﴿٢٨﴾

A

We used to pray to Him (s.w.t) before. He (s.w.t) is surely The Most Merciful, The Very Merciful.

Q

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ ‎﴿٢٩﴾

A

So keep reminding (them) because by the grace of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.

Q

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ ‎﴿٣٠﴾‏

A

Do they rather say he is a poet for whom we are awaiting the accident of death?

31
Q

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ‎﴿٣١﴾‏

A

Say: ‘Wait, I (s.w.t) am waiting with you (s.a.w) too’.

32
Q

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُم بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ‎﴿٣٢﴾

A

Is it their intellects that direct them to say this or are they a rebellious people?

Q

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ‎﴿٣٣﴾

A

Do they rather say he (s.a.w) has forged it (The Qur’an). No, but they do not believe.

Q

فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِ إِن كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ ‎﴿٣٤﴾

A

So let them bring a discorse like this if they are truthful.

Q

أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ ‎﴿٣٥﴾‏

A

Is it that they are created by none or are they themselves the creators?

Q

أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ ‎﴿٣٦﴾‏

A

Or have they created The Heavens and The Earth, but no are sure of nothing.

37
Q

أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ ‎﴿٣٧﴾

A

Or do they have the treasures of your Lord or have they acquired control (over them)?

38
Q

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ ‎﴿٣٨﴾

A

Or have they a stairway (to The Heavens) by means of which they listen (to divine decree) if so their listener must bring a clear proof.

Q

أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ ‎﴿٣٩﴾‏

A

Is it that He (s.w.t) has daughters and you have sons?

40
Q

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ ‎﴿٤٠﴾‏

A

Or is it that you (Oh prophet (s.a.w)) ask them for a fee and therefore they are burdened with a liability?

Q

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ‎﴿٤١﴾‏

A

Or have they knowledge of the unseen and they are recording it?

42
Q

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ ‎﴿٤٢﴾

A

Or do they intend to plan to do harm (to the prophet (s.a.w))? Then the disbelievers themselves shall be harmed by the plan.

43
Q

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ‎﴿٤٣﴾

A

Or do they have a god other than Allah (s.w.t)? Pure is Allah (s.w.t) from what they associate with Him (s.w.t)

Q

وَإِن يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ ‎﴿٤٤﴾‏

A

Even if they see a piece falling from the sky they would say it is an accumulated cloud.

45
Q

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ ‎﴿٤٥﴾

A

So leave them alone until they face their day in which they will be turned unconscious.

46
Q

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ‎﴿٤٦﴾

A

The Day their planning will not benefit them in the least nor will they be helped.

47
Q

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ‎﴿٤٧﴾

A

And for those who did wrong, there is another punishment before that but most of them do not know.

48
Q

وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ‎﴿٤٨﴾

A

And oh prophet (s.a.w), be patient about the decision of your Lord because you are in front of Our eyes and proclaim the purity of your Lord along with His praise when you stand (in prayer).

49
Q

وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَارَ النُّجُومِ ‎﴿٤٩﴾‏

A

And in parts of the night too, proclaim His purity and at the time of setting of the stars.
