Macular rash over body appears after several days of high fever. Can present with febrile seizures. Usually affects infants.
Roseola, HHV 6
Vesicular rash in palms and soles. Vesicles and ulcers in oral mucosa. In a kid.
Hand-foot-mouth disease (Coxsackie A virus)
Begins at head and moves down.
Preceded by coryza, cough, conjunctivitis.
Blue white spots in the buccal mucosa.
Measles / rubeola
Slapped cheek rash on face
Erythema infectiosum / fifth disease / parvovirus b19
Rash begins at head and moves down - fine truncal rash - postauricular lymphadenopathy
Rubella
Erythematous, sandpaper like rash with fever and sore throat
Scarlet fever, strep pyogenes
Vesicular rash that begins on trunk and spreads to face and extremities with lesions of different ages
Vzv / chicken pox
