Aortic arch derivatives
1st - part of the maxillary artery, branch of the external carotid
2nd - stapedial artery and hyoid artery
3rd - common carotid artery and proximal part of the internal carotid artery
4th - on left, aortic arch; on right, proximal part of the right subclavian
6th - proximal part of the pulmonary arteries and (on left only) ductus arteriosus
Remember:
General Maximus the first ordered his men to (2) stampede and hide the second in command. Three guards slit his carotid on the commons and then brought him inside.
