Q

The study of organisms and how they interact with their environment and other organisms.
The study of interactions of each part of the environment with the others as well as how a change in one part affects another.
The study of organisms and the impact that they have on the environment or that the environment has on them.

Q

A characteristic of living things…
Cells are the fundamental units of any organism.
Cells do everything the organism needs to do to survive (generate/store energy, remove waste, create proteins).
Most cells also contain instructions to build that cell (in the form of DNA).

Q

A characteristic of living things…
Organisms must reproduce to pass down information that their DNA carries and ensure the future of that species.
Either by asexual or sexual reproduction.

12
Q

A characteristic of living things…
A key part of maintaining homeostasis is maintaining the chemical reactions that the organism undergoes daily.
Some rely on internal processes to create their own food (plants & photosynthesis) while others need to consume food from external sources.
Energy from mood (made or consumed) is used to drive the chemical reactions required to maintain life.
