What is terrorism? It has appeared a lot in the news, and I know it is happening, but what is it.

A terrorist almost always relies on threats of violence, planned murders, hostages, poisoning, bombs or suicide bombs.

In contrast, it is typical of the terrorists to go against civilians - they can explode into pieces (blow up) places like restaurants, passenger trains or housing.
