T6 vigtige informationer - systems Flashcards

1
Q

What does the PMU do?

A

The PMU:

  • Processes power requests from the PCL,
  • keeps the engine and propeller within operation limits
  • Provides a near linear power response between idle and maks

Q

How is power controlled with the PCL?

A

The PCL is mechanically connected to the Fuel Management Unit (FMU) - moving the PCL provides a physical input to the FMU, which is then fine tuned by the electronic input given from the PCL to the PMU.

Q

How is the PMU powered?

A

Primarily by the Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA). If the PMA does not work the PMU is powered by the battery bus.

Q

How can the propeller be feathered?

A

By placing the PCL to idle:

  • Feather dump soleid valve,
  • PMU releases the oil pressure

Q

Are all information on the Alternate Engine Data Display (AEDD) generated the same way as for the Primary Engine Data Display (PEDD)?

A

NO. Most information on the AEED is provided directly from the EDM. Only the torque information is provided from the PMU to both the PEDD and the AEDD.

14
Q

Where is the boost pump located?

When is it used?

A

The boost pump is located in the collector tank.
During initial start, as back-up for the engine-driven low pressure pump, when the switch is ON, and when the pressure in the fuel flow return line drops below 10 PSI with the PCL above the start ready position.

Q

Describe the fuel flow from the tanks to the FMU.

A

From wing tanks to the central collector tank.
From CCT through primary jet pump or boost pump to the fuel filter.
From the fuel filter to engine low pressure pump
From the low to the high pressure pump - or via the motive flow line back to the collector tank.
From the high pressure pump to the FMU or via the purge line back to the collector tank.
From the FMU via the fuel flow transmitter to the engine and the FF gauge.

16
Q

When does the “L FUEL LO” or “R FUEL LO” annunciators come on?

A

When fuel in the respective wing tank falls below 110 lbs.

17
Q

Where is the Fuel Flow (FF) transmitter located?

A

After the FMU that is placed after the engine driven HIGH pressure pump.

18
Q

When does the “FUEL BAL” annunciator come on?

A

When the fuel imbalance has exceeded 30 lbs for more than 2 minutes.

19
Q

The fuel balance system maintains balance within ____ lbs.

A

20 lbs

20
Q

If both cockpits trims the aircraft simultaneously - which cockpit has the overriding effect?

A

The rear cockpit switch.

21
Q

The TAD computes it input to the rudder trim based on which inputs?

A

Pitch rate
Altitude
Airspeed
Engine Torque

22
Q

A
BAT BAS
OIL PX
HYDR FL LO
PMU STATUS
TRIM OFF
23
Q

Which announciators will be on for a GEN BUS failure?

A

TAD OFF

24
Q

Where is the PROP SYS Circuit Breaker located?

A

Left side of cockpit
Right side of panel - count three down then one in.

25
Q

Where are the AHRS Circuit Breakers located?

A

There are two - one on the left side and one on the right side.
Left side: Closest row to the seat - number two down
Right side: Furtherst row - feel all the way to the end - then go back one (Past the missing one) and one closer to you.
