Personality is extrovert because they have a less sensitive RAS
Ability is high because the player has a well learned motor programme
Task type is gross and simple because it uses large muscle movements and has low perceptual load

Personality is introvert because they have a highly sensitive RAS
Ability is low because of a poorly learnt motor programme
Task type is fine and complex because it involves intricacy and high perceptual load
What are the causes of evaluation apprehension?
Perception of being judged by a significant other e.g. scout
More likely if sport confidence is low
What are the effects of evaluation apprehension?
Increased arousal / anxiety
Leads to avoiding behaviour / lack of persistence in sport and physical activity
