Soc 8: PAR-Q Flashcards
Warm up
A warm up consists of a whole body exercise before physical activity to raise heart rate and body temperature, stretching to prepare muscles, ligaments and joints and practicing skills and techniques to be used in an activity.
Warm down
A cool down is a workout to gradually relax the body and to improve flexibility and to slow your heart rate after the main activity/sport . These gentle stretches and lightly jogging should take about 5 minutes.
