What are the different methods of training

What is continous training ?
Continous training is a steady training. Your WHR isnt very high but will be in your target zone for areobic fitness. It is a training with medium effort with no rests
What is fartlek training
Fartlek training is a method of training where the speed and terrain are constantly changing
What is circuit training
Circuit training involves a number of execises arranged so as to avoid exercising the same muscle continously
What is interval training ???
Interval training involves alternating stages of high and low intensity activity. It can involve repeated sprints or repetitions
Plyometric
Plyometric is where muscles exert maximun force for short periods of time
What is weight training
Weight training uses progressive resisitence either in the form of actual weights lifted or how many times the weight is lifted
What are the 5 different fitness classes ?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of fitness classes ?
Some classes are expesnive or require big payments in advance. Some classed may be far away or the timings do not work with your schedule
However they play a huge role in health and wellbeing as it improves all aspects of health (physical, emotional and social)
What is the aerobics fitness class ?
Mainly areobic exercises covering a range of exercises whilst listening to mucic.
Works mainly on cardiovascular fitness. Develops strength, muscular endurance and flexability.

What is the body pump fitness class ?
Exercise to music using low weights with many repetitions and a variety of exercises, such as lunges and squats
Works on mainly cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance, toning the body.
Develops some strength and flexability

What is the pilates fitness class ?
A series of core stability exercises focusing in the quality rather than the quantity. Less vigorous but works on the range of movement. Also focuses on correct breathing, relaxation and stress resuction
Works on the body and the mind
Develops a range of fitness, but not vigorous such as aerobic and anaerobic
Develops muscular endurance and flexability, with some strength
What is the yoga fitness class “
Exercises that focus on posture and poses (to increase strength and flexability), breathing and sometimes meditation, to boost physical and emotional well-being
Emphasis on quality of exercise, holding the position with full range of movement and balance and breathing correctly
Works on the body and mind
Develops muscular endurance, flexability and balance
Develops strength and, cardiovascular endurance
What is the spinning fitness class?
Aerobic and anaerobic cycling on a stationary bike to music
Works on mainly aerobic fitness
Also develops muscular endurace, mainly in the legs
