Soc 19: Short Term Effects of Exercise Flashcards

1
Q

What are the Short term effects on the muscles

A

Muscle fatigue. This is usually because there is a buildup of lactic acid from anaerobic respiration. Cramp can also happen.

Q

What are the short term effects of exercise on the heart

Q

What is oxygen debt

A

When you exercise to vigorously your body will start build up lactic acid. Lactic acid is a waste product of anaerobic respiration meaning oxygen is needed to get it out of your body. That is oxygen debt
