A cool down flushes out the lactic acid and helps prevents soreness the next day. This leads to the athlete being able to train harder and to a higher level more consistently

Why is it a bad idea to undertake training that is not specified toward you
If you are preparing to run a marathon and you do Mo Farahs training then you may get injured or burn out because the training is specified to a pro runner
