What is Science?

A

Is the study of the world around us. Scientists learn about their subject by observing describing and experimenting. Science is a way for u to obtain knowledge and how and why things happen the way they do, by using our senses to observe the world and experiments to investigate how it works.

What are the stages of lighting a Bunsen burner?

A
  1. place the heatproof mat on your workbench
  2. Check for holes in the gas hose
  3. Connect the Bunsen burner to the gas outlet (don’t turn on the gas yet)
  4. Turn the collar so that the air hole is closed
  5. Light a match and hold it 2-3cm above the nozzle of the Bunsen burner
    6.Turn the gas on at the tap.
