16
Q

what is the menstrual phase

A

days 1-5
where the blood lining of the uterus (endometrium) is shed through the vagina

17
Q

what is the follicular phase

A

days 6-10
begins the day after the period ends. Follice stimulating stimulates the ovaries to produce a mature egg. The endometrium starts to develop again

18
Q

what is the ovulation phase

A

days 11-18
the egg is released into the fallopian tube and travels down to the uterus, if it comes in contact with sperm it could fertilise. The egg can survive up to 24 hours

19
Q

what is the luteal phase

A

days 19-28

while the egg is waiting for sperm, the endometrium conrinues to thicken. if the egg is not fertilised by sperm, the lining is no longer needed and starts to break down.

20
Q

what is a embryo

A

This stage occurs in the first 8 weeks after conception and is where major organs are formed

21
Q

what is a fetus

A

after 8 weeks when the major organs are formed and the cells grow into a baby

22
Q

what is conception

A

the succesful joining of the egg and the sperm to eventually form a baby

23
Q

what is the placenta

A

the part of the baby that attaches to the mother and provides noursihment

24
Q

when a man and woman have sex in a attempt to form a baby.

26
Q

what is ovulation

A

an egg is relesead from the ovary to wait for a sperm

27
Q

what is journey of the sperm through to ejaculation

A

sperm moves from the semineforous tubules to the epididymis where they mature. the vas deferens send them to the testicles

28
Q

what is coercion

A

when someone manipulates a person into doing something they arent sure about or dont want to do
