Carbohydrates are starchy foods such as bread and pasta. They are our main source of energy

Lipids are things such as fats and oils. They give us fat- soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids.

Proteins are foods such as egg, meat, dairy, nuts and seeds. They are our main structural material and help build and repair muscles, bones and tissue

They allow biochemicals processes to happen in our bodies

helps transport nutrients around the body, excrete waste and control body temperatures
