- 5mg in 2.5ml
- pMDI (100mcg per/ actuation).
Metabolism
- by the liver and excreted by the kidneys.

What are the Indications and Contraindication of Salbutomol
A
Indications (SOS-CA)
- Asthma
- COPD
- Oleo-resin (capsicum spray) exposure.
- Smoke inhalation
- Severe Allergic Reaction.
Contraindication
- Nil of Significance.

Side Effects
- Tachycardia
- Muscle Tremors
Precautions
- Large amounts of Salbutomol can cause intracellular metabolic acidosis.

Special Notes
- Although rare, Salbutomol infusions may be required for inter-hospital transfer for some women in premature labour. ( The dose is singed and prescribed by the referring hospital medical officer).

- Duration: 15 - 50 Minutes
