What is Aspirins Pharmacology
A
Is a Analgesic, Antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and anti-platelet aggregation agent.
Actions
- To minimize platelet aggregation and thrombus formation in order to retard the progression of coronary artery thrombus formation in ACS.
- Inhibits synthesis of propaglandin. (Anti- inflammatory response).

Presentation - 300mg Chewable tablet. - 300mg water soluble tablet Metabolized - Converted in salicylate in the gut mucousa. Excreted by the kidneys.

- ACS
Contraindications (3 Bloods/ 2 Drugs)
- Bleeding Disorders
- Actively bleeding peptic ulcers
- Suspected dissecting aortic aneurysm
- Hypersensitivity to Aspirin/ Salicylate
- Chest pain associated with psycho stimulant overdose with a BP >160

- Hypersensitivity reactions
