What are the Indications and Contraindications of Stemitil

A

Indications
Treatment of prophylaxis of nausea/ vomiting for
- Planned Areomedical Evacuation
- Known Contraindication to Odansetron
- Vertigo
- Motion Sickness
- Headache irrespective of Nausea and Vomiting

Contraindications

  • Circulatory collapse (cool, pale, clammy, hypotension, tachycardia)
  • CNS Depression
  • Pregnancy
  • < 21 years of Age
  • Hypersensitivity

Side Effects (HEDS BS)

  • Drowsiness
  • Hypotension
  • Blurred Vision
  • Sinus tachycardia
  • Skin rash
  • Extrapyramdial Reactions.

Precautions (HEP)

  • Hypotension
  • Epilepsy
  • Patients effected by alcohol or anti-depressants.
