PDA NSAID use
Not in pregnancy (may close too early).
Give after birth to child if not closing.
Prostaglandins E1 keeps PDA open (maybe needed if congenital defect before repair)
PO use
Ok if older than 1-2 mo. Easiest/cheapest.
Parenteral
Most reliable. Best for severely ill. If IV abx.

OK after 18 mo
rectal (time?)
Needs to be PR for 20 min
