S16 Flashcards
What is the PDCA cycle?
The PDCA cycle (Plan - Do - Act - Check) is a method for planning and implementing activities to meet requirements, aiming for continuous improvement.
What is the first step of the PDCA cycle?
Plan (Planen): Analyze the current situation, define the desired state, set overarching goals, and derive necessary measures for achieving those goals.
What is the second step of the PDCA cycle?
Do (Ausführen): Implement the measures at the relevant places in the company and document the process using appropriate tools.
What is the third step of the PDCA cycle?
Check (Prüfen): Evaluate and control the degree of goal achievement, check results against defined goals, identify deviations, and analyze their causes.
What is the fourth step of the PDCA cycle?
Act (Handeln): If successful implementation is confirmed, standardize the measures and introduce the system company-wide, establishing a new standard for the next optimization cycle.
