Medium: haemorrhage or wedge-shaped infarction (less common, due to lung’s dual circulation)
Small: clinically silent or may cause transient chest pain, haemoptysis, small infarctions
What histological features differentiates postmortem thrombus from pulmonary embolus?
Pulmonary embolus contains lines of Zahn
