What is respirstion
It’s the release of energy from food
Why do we need energy
Need energy to grow move stay warm and repair damaged parts
What does aerobic mean
Release energy from food using oxygen
What does anoerobe mean
Release of energy from food without oxygen
Name the 3 steeps of the glucose path
1.Carbohydrates will enter our body through ingesting
2.Enzymes will break down the carbohydrates into glucose
3.Blood plasma will carry glucose from the small intestine to cells
What is the oxygen path
Oxygen is inhaled through the nose and mouth. It enters our lungs and is carried by heanogblion in the blood on the cells in our body
What is a mitochondria
The mitochondria is where respiration takes place. The mitochondria will supply the rest of the cell with energy. This is know as the biochemical process.
