Q

Why might an application form be used instead of a CV?

A

Ensures the same information is yielded from all candidates and that their document is comparable as one individual’s CV might contain different info to another. Can ask and find out answers to questions you actually want to know the answer to.

17
Q

What is the process of looking through CVs and application forms?

A

Some are immidiately rejected perhaps due to lack of qualification or insufficient experience. Those placed on a shortlist - 3-10 invited to interview and those placed on a long list - back ups in case short list have already found a job.
