Q

Solid pointers:
1. You want to keep club face inside your hands pathway.

  1. Sole of club flat then TA on shaft line.
  2. DS, think more about using right arm sidearm instead of holding triangle close to body.
  3. Worry more about shoulder crunched turn, shaft pathway angle going and coming and right palm slap on release. Big power.
(The crunch is getting left shoulder turned more downward when entering squat. Palm SB facing upward going into FF)
    Continued
A

  2. Swing slowly to stop hitting fat.
  3. Lower body pivot starts DS.

Q

Try going into impact with shoulders square.

Also try shorter backswing with driver, say to 9 or 10:00 BS.

On driver the swing will be flatter and more path sweeping around you. Your back will be angled back of vertical line. Your left shoulder will be forward of the ball on your impact. Remember, driver shots are not the same swing path that fairway iron shots are. Upon impact you are swinging upwards.

FADE

  1. Open stance.
  2. Aim CF to where you want ball to finish.
  3. Aim body and swing path WELL LEFT where you want to start ball flight.
  4. Lead with heel of club into impact.
  5. Swing OUT TO IN to force ball to land right.
A

DRAW

  1. Aim CF where you want club to finish.
  2. Aim body and swing path where you want to start ball direction. (Swing path will be to the right.)
  3. Swing so toe of club is closing. Easy way is to impact with left knuckles down. The more left knuckles down the more violent the draw. Full knuckles down will make a violent hook.
  4. Closed stance.

TEED DRIVES
All teed shots tee to second line down. Includes irons. (Only driver is teed to top line)

3 and 5 woods, setup 8 inches behind ball. This means CF is on ground 8 inches behind ball.

Driver, 12 inches behind ball.
All irons just 2 inches behind ball.

A
  1. 3/4 shoulder turn until back starts facing target.
  2. Big weight shift to inside of right leg. Coordinate this with pelvis (BELT) tilts upward like John Daly.
  3. Start DS guiding shaft angle ON PLANE back to setup position. TAKE THE TIME TO GO THROUGH ENTIRE TRANSITION, ENDING IT WITH GRIP TRAVELING DOWN ON PLANE TO BALL! This makes shot go STRAIGHT.

NOTE: Do not swing until you finish TRANSITION.

Remember to feel swing the chain sensation. Remember you are swinging a chain.

Swing slow and WATCH CF hit ball. Do not move your head.
