This will become my new swing to cure the following:

  1. Pulled left.
  2. Pulled short irons.
  3. Pulled tee shots all clubs.

Main ingredients:

  1. Waggle. Presets bowed impact and draws a visual preview of shaft plane for DS.
  2. Lag snap. Lots of power with a slower swing. The lag snap occurs directly after level transition. Uses SUPINATION Power.
  3. Permanent order for BS and DS.
  4. Turning hips hard on DS gives more distance on irons, esp. short irons. Pumps ball high and straight.
A

Other key factors.

On transition level, when in front of crotch, shaft SB tilted 10 to 4 clock position and shaft in plane. When this point is reached, Nicklaus says hit it with all you got if you want more distance. My old swing would hook way left doing this.

The waggle giving me a good visual of shaft plane is a great tool I never thought about. Another tool is Justin Thomas practice TA. He makes certain his club is in line with his hands. (Not too far inside)

The DS rotation is higher, level to bottom of crotch. Then the club drops 10 to 4 for the bowed lag snap.

Also discovered a 1/3 swing 7 iron with bowed lag snap is a good 100 yard layup to the creek.

Knees and elbows SB close as possible.

BS order:

Hands
Arms
Shoulders
Hips

DS order:

Hips
Shoulders
Arms
Hands

Tip: turn hips HARD to start DS. This automatically does the pelvis pivot and keeps shots to the right of fairway. A slow hip turn can pull, but a hard thrust turn pretty much stays to the right. Might come in handy on par threes.

A

On DS don’t think about grip. Just keep on plane of your waggle.

Remember to rotate and swing slow until transition position 10 to 4.

More to follow after I gain more experience.

Updated for 2021.

Heuristics Oct 11, 2020

Following makes very solid and straight shots:

  1. Waggle. Glue bicep to chest.
  2. Focus RIGHT 90 degree elbow impact being the force to hit. Impact with wrist left towel snap.
  3. Go slow going into transition to line everything up into impact.
  4. Chest aligned with arms (TRIANGLE) into impact at same time.
