Most of the time, new and surprising vital signs are actually an error in the way they’re being detected. Check the pulse with your hand and the stethoscope. Check the RR with your eyes and watch. Check the BP with a manual cuff. Check the temp again and make sure the room isn’t freezing or really hot.
