How does epididymitis present on US?
Enlarged and hypoechoic compared to contralateral side
Hyperemic
Hydroceles commonly present secondary to epididymal inflammation
How does orchitis present on US?
Enlarged testis that is heterogenous, hyperemic, and with concomitant hydrocele
What layer of tissue is broken in testicular rupture?
Tunica albuginea
What US features are more suggestive of malignancy?
Three things
Intratesticular
Solid or complex cyst
Detectable internal vascularity
