-ntes, -ntes, -ntium, -ntibus, -ntibus.
X-ing. Always active in meaning.
If in the present form, it is describing the action that is being done at the same time as the main verb (no matter what tense the MV is in)

Past/perfect participles
A
-us/-a/-um, -um/-am/-um, -i/-e/-i, -o/-e/-o, -o/-a/-o
-i/-e/-a. -os/-as/-a, -orum, -is.
Is passive in meaning. ‘having been X-ed’.
The noun that it agrees with is the one that has undergone the action, and the action must have begun and been completed before the action of the main verb in the clause:
