A
Epigastric/umbilical pain Pain radiates to the back Sitting forward may relieve the pain Nausea, Vomiting Bloating Steatorrhoea Weight loss, loss of appetite Indigestion Jaundice

Jaundice
Grey turners sign - R and L flank
Cullen’s sign - around umbilicus

Staging of acute pancreatitis
A
Glasgow prognostic score “PANCREAS”

Management of acute pancreatitis
A
IV fluids, oxygen, pain relief
Antibiotics - if infection present
Nutrition - Oral, enteral
Gallstones present - ERCP, cholecysectomy

Management of chronic pancreatitis
A
Simple analgesia - paracetamol, NSAID
Obstruction - ERCP
Surgery - Pustow procedure, frey procedure
