A

Add bromine water and shake
Result = bromine decolourises (orange —> colourless)

A

Add NaOH and warm
Acidify with HNO3
Add AgNO3
Results:
AgCl = white ppt
AgBr = cream
AgI = yellow

Add acidified potassium dichromate
Result = orange —> green (primary + secondary, NOT TERTIARY)

    Result = brick red ppt

    Result = silver mirror
