Origin -occipital bone, nuchal ligament, SP’s C7-T12

Insertion - spine and acromion of scapula and lateral 1/3 of clavicle

Action -
scapula: depress, elevate, retract
head/neck: E, LF, R

Origin: SP’s C7-T5 and nuchal lig.
Insertion: vertebral boarder of scapula
Action: retract scapula
