What is the reactive zone?
A
Zone around the tumour, neutrophils laying doen collagen and making a wall around the tumour

A
- Arises from fibroblasts
- Found in the skin
- subcut
- oral/ nasal form

How would you differentiate a myxosarcoma from a fibrosarcoma?
A
Differentiated from
fibroblasts from
intercellular mucin

Where do hemangiopericyomas originate from?
A
Pericyte or the nerve sheath (similiar biological behaviour)

What are the clinical signs of a PNST?
A
- Significant neurological changes can be evident
- Severe neuropathic pain

What is a liposarcoma?
A
rare tumour of older dogs
locally aggressive and metastasize

What is an infiltrative lipoma?
A
- Invades local muscle and fascial planes, joint capsules and abdominal cavity, nerves, bone
- Aggressive therapy may be required
- Reduces blood supply to the tumour
