Sit in the front of car/coach
Sit in middle of boat
Breathe fresh air/open window
Close eyes
Ginger biscuits
Don’t read/watch films/use phone
Look at a fixed object, not moving ones such as waves or cars
Avoid heavy meals, spicy food, alcohol

Advice on cinnarazine travel sickness tablets

A

> 12 - 2 tabs 2 hours before travelling, then 1 every 8 hours
5-12 - 1 tab 2 hours before travelling, then 0.5 every 8 hours

Contain lactose

SE: drowsiness, nausea

Advice on hyoscine hydrobromide tablets

A

300mcg:
>18: 1 tab 20-30 mins before travel, then every 6 hours. Max 3.
>10: 0.5 tab 20-30 mins before travel, then every 6 hours. Max 3.

150mcg:
>10: 1-2 30 mins before travel, then every 6 hours. Max 3.
>4: 0.5-1 tab 30 mins before travel, then every 6 hours. Max 3.

Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness

Scopoderm hyoscine hydrobromide patches advice

A

> 10 years.

Remove back and stick patch to clean, dry, hairless patch of skin behind the ear.

Avoid cuts or irritation.

Don’t touch patch once applied until you remove it at the end of the journey.

Wash hands after application and removal.

Patches last up to 3 days.

Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision.
