Lifestyle advice for excessive sweating

A

Wear loose-fitting clothes to minimise signs of sweating
Wear socks that absorb moisture and change socks at least twice a day
Wear leather shoes and try to wear different shoes day to day
Don’t wear tight clothes or synthetic fabrics
Don’t wear enclosed boots/sports shoes that can cause further sweating.
Avoid alcohol or spicy foods

Aluminium chloride antiperspirants such as Driclor, Anyhdrol Forte, Persiprex Strong

How do OTC antiperspirants work?

A

Contain aluminium chloride which forms a gel matrix in the sweat glands to block them. The pressure of fluid build up in the glands force it back into the body to be reabsorbed and encourage glands to stop sweat production.
